The 'bribe' framing is the sharpest take on agent UX here: early adopters aren't really buying pizza, they're selling their context — credentials, preferences, payment rails — to platforms that will only get better at exploiting it. On our view, that trade only makes sense if the agent ecosystem consolidates around a few players; otherwise you're onboarding twenty times into twenty walled gardens that never talk to each other. The cost Spero glosses over is trust: pizza-level access is harmless, but the same onboarding logic escalates quickly to email, calendar, and bank credentials. Worth asking whether the bonus justifies that slope for anyone who isn't already a believer.
It took me approximately twenty times longer to order a pizza through a personal agent compared to doordash, but you really have to think of it as accepting a bribe to do the annoying onboarding tasks. The pizza is just a bonus https://t.co/Q78Xb8Sgps
