Transformers Model Integration Contracts
Hugging Face is formalizing how fresh architectures land in Transformers, and in our view it is overdue hygiene for what has become the de facto distribution channel of open-source models. The open question is friction: higher barriers may push experimental architectures into standalone repos — not necessarily a bad outcome, just an earlier filtering stage. Worth watching whether these contracts also demand benchmark reproductions or only code upkeep.
