Sarah Guo is effectively declaring that the open-source AI stack has matured into a complete platform, and as an investor backing that thesis she has every reason to cheer. In our view, though, assembling a full platform is the easier half; the harder half is staying near a frontier that closed labs move every few months, and winning enterprise trust against hyperscaler platforms. Worth watching whether this consolidation actually shifts spend toward open models, or just strengthens the tooling layer around them.
