In our view the gap between slogan and reality is still wide: today's models need supervision, context and tooling that the 'employee' metaphor glosses over. Still, the direction is clear — xAI wants Grok embedded in real workflows, not just bantering on X, and expect the 'hire an AI' pitch to get louder. Whether Grok can actually deliver autonomous work, and not just personality, is the open question.
